Outdoor play area update
We’re delighted to be starting work on a brand‑new outdoor adventure playground, designed to offer more space for exploration, greater challenge and plenty of opportunities for children of all ages, interests and abilities to play.
To make sure construction can take place safely, a large section of our existing outdoor play is currently closed. While work is underway, the timber play area will not be available for use, but the fenced play area for younger children remains open.

WEEKEND CLOSURE 24 & 25 October
Due to adverse weather forecasts with strong winds expected from storm Austen, we have taken the decision to close Lotherton on Saturday 24 October and Sunday 25 October.
We have taken advice and guidance from various agencies, as well as Leeds City Council internal departments, to assess whether we can open safely. With strong winds forecast and gusts expected to exceed 55mph throughout the weekend, we have made the difficult decision to close for the safety of our visitors and staff, which is our priority. All those who have pre-booked general admission have been notified.
We are open as usual from Monday 26 October.
